"Doris Day Parking"

A friend taught me an expression I still use all the time: “Doris Day Parking.” It’s when there is an open spot directly in front of the store/bank you are going to — because there always was one in her movies.

RIP Doris. I will think of you whenever I find fortuitous parking.

I knew a delightful man who would demand the entire car break into a rousing chorus of "Que Sera Sera" whenever he had to find parking

I first heard the expression "A Doris Day parking spot" on CBC radio from Laurie Brown.
