Parents Surprise Daughter with Dog she had been caring for at shelter.

Video description:

"So, here’s the story. Our daughter Hallee Fuqua has been asking for a dog for Christmas for years. We told her she should wait until after she graduates college. She began volunteering at the Humane Society of Stillwater. She fell in love with a dog named Rambo and visited him often. My wife and I decided to secretly adopt him 3 weeks ago. With the help from the Humane Society we kept it a secret. She found out this weekend that Rambo had been adopted and she was broken. So Sunday night we surprised her with her early Christmas present. We captured the moment on video. Merry Christmas Hallee! #onehappygirl #onehappydog (To use this video in a commercial player or in broadcasts, please email licensing@storyful.com)"

The most touching moment was when she told her brother, "This is Rambo!" and her brother expressed instant recognition of the name. She had obviously talked about him to her family.

I wish the parents hadn’t broken her heart first to imply that someone else had adopted him.

It seems that the parents were more interested in creating a video to post online rather than making their daughter happy.

That is so screwed up.

They changed their minds and she could have the dog. She would have been equally thrilled.

The love that kids and dogs share is unique and special.
