2. Our 15 y.o. Lhasa suddenly lost her

Vision & hearing within a years time. Before that she was sprinting at high speed as usual. But her appetite is still good, and has no other health problems.

Chewy was 14. His decline happened fast, in just a few months. Greatest dog in the world. We miss him so.

9. It's amazing how well blind animals can manage -

I don't know any blind dogs but I do know a few blind cats, and you'd swear they could see perfectly. There's one who jumps up on things and back down again without hesitating (and we know she's totally blind because her eyes were removed due to infection). Once in awhile she has to be rescued from a high shelf but otherwise she finds her way around with no trouble. Your puppers knows exactly what's going on.

11. Have had nearly blind and nearly deaf dogs do very well

"It's the Sniffer that is so important." said one vet.

And he was so right. As long as we didn't move furniture and kept to a pretty regular schedule, all was well, stumbling a bit here and there of course.
