A realization about a order I was told as a kid ..."Put it away".

...Over and over again. "Put it away", " Put it away", and more.."Put it away". "Don't leave your things lying around..put them away". What things? Everything. ...PUT THEM AWAY!!!!!! ...again and again..
Put it away. Where? Where it is supposed to be..the boses (my parents) would say. But my mom would not say why I had to put it away..but many, many years later, I now know why, I had to put it way in its correct place. (a place I could choose for it) And it took a very long time to figure this out.
...(two more sentences) If I put it away in a place that I could choose, then I wouldn't end up searching around for an hour looking for where it is...................
............................................................. You know, I did not like being told to "PUT IT AWAY"!!!but now, many years later, I will tell me, myself TO..."PUT IT AWAY, SO YOU DON'T SPEND AND HOUR SEARCHING FOR IT!!!"

At 6am, on Tuesday 5/27/19..I washed the dishes. (I have automatic dishwasher, but it has been broke for about 10 years, I wash them by hand)

a couple of days ago, there was a moment when I was looking for something, (a pliers, a tool to fix a machine I have) and I looked everywhere for that tool. Finally, after an hour and a half of looking, I said to myself, maybe I didn't lay it down, maybe I actually put it away in that drawer where I was going to store it. So I went to that drawer, opened it up and there was the pliers. I actually put it away in the correct place, and forgot that I did so, and started looking everywhere thinking I laid it down, and walked away.
...I am in such a rush to do several things, that I forget that sometimes that I actually do put things away exactly where they are supposed to be.... so I start looking here and there and everywhere.....

"Either you put them away now, because if I have to pick them up, it's gong into the box that I'm taking to Good Will today."

Mom never made threats, just promises.

My brother didn't believe her, and pulled all his toys, books and most of his clothes out and dumped them on the bedroom floor. Mom came in like an F5 tornado, swept up all of the toys, books, and clothes on the floor, and packed them off to Good Will. He cried, but Mom was totally unmoved.

"If you want them back, you'll have to buy them from Good Will, if they're still there".
