I spent money in Alabama and I'm proud.
No! Not of spending $$$ in Alabama. I had the pleasure to pin wings on my son’s chest during his graduation from helicopter flight training at the Army aviation school at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He trained on the Army’s workhorse, the Blackhawk and will be leaving in two weeks for his posting in South Korea. It’s been quite a journey. He started off in the Air Force, became an EMT, got his private fixed-wing pilot’s license, and somewhere along the line he found out he could apply to transfer to the army for helicopter flight school. After a year of red tape and a year and a half of training, he’s a newly minted pilot.
Thanks for listening to a proud dad. Best regards, Crow

2. Congrats on your son's achievements.
I know how hard it is to learn to fly rotor. Kind of like rubbing your tummy and patting your head at the same time, at least that's how it was explained to me by an ex-boyfriend who flew Hueys in Vietnam. He sounds like a wonderful young man and you must be so proud.

3. ... not quite sure what ALABAMA has to do with it... but whatever, congrats to your son.
And I spent 39 years born and raised in Alabama and SPENT LOTS of money there.. but it's NOT something I'd put in a subject line.. just sayin'.

5. Second that.
Sometimes, exceptions have to be made.
