Have to share this because it's so sweet

My 3 year old daughter is looking out the window at the rain this morning. She turns and says okay and proceeds to walk over to me. She says "Dad, I have made a choice. Tomorrow when it stops raining I am going to go see animals. Do you want to go with me? Oh and the playground too?"

It was so adorable. She wasnt being demanding. She just decided that she was going to the zoo tomorrow and wanted me to go with her lol. How could I say no?

1. Your daughter has incredible verbal skills for a 3 year old!

And yes--she's adorable.

3. After a long day that started with fishing at 6am, with boating

swimming, sailing, walking along the shore, etc, at a cottage as the sun set while barbecuing, my 2 year old chimed in.

Daughter: "Dad?"

Me: "Yes, Patricia ..."

Daughter: "Dad, the lake is tired ..."

6. Early verbal proficiency is correlated with...

...intellectual sophistication. I'll bet she keeps you on your toes. My older son was like that, and still is.

Years ago, we had a little 2 yr old neighbor who made me smile - she was outside with her grandma one afternoon, pedaling away on her tricycle, and stopped suddenly, announcing, "I must pause to rest."
