28. I always knew him.

He grew up on the farm on the corner around from me. I knew his family.

He went away to college and married someone else. So did I. I was widowed at 27. He was divorced. When we married, we were a bit (only a bit) older. I was thirty and he was thirty-four. We got married and raised a great family.
