The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsToday is our 41st wedding anniversary.
I can't believe we are this old. I can't believe we made it this far.
Let's hope we are all still around next year, and that the orange madman has not turned the planet into a smoldering cinder.
(What a thing to worry about on such a happy day)!

(41,041 posts)The time just flies by, doesn't it??? And I so understand your worry on such a happy occasion. The orange blob has really cast a pall over everything that used to be good. But I have a good feeling that it won't last past 2020. Enjoy your day and go ahead and celebrate!

(33,083 posts)He grew up on the farm on the corner around from me. I knew his family.
He went away to college and married someone else. So did I. I was widowed at 27. He was divorced. When we married, we were a bit (only a bit) older. I was thirty and he was thirty-four. We got married and raised a great family.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
