Tech question about WiFi at work

I have a MiFi jet pack provided to me by my employer. Obviously using my phone on it is way faster than LTE and saves on my data plan.

When I connect to it on my personal phone (don’t have a company phone) it says that a device has been connected.

Will the MiFi track what sites I go to?

No I’m not going anywhere I shouldn’t. I’m just not sure how DU would look if this thing does track WHERE I go on the inter webs.

Your internet usage data is likely collected on the servers that are used by the MiFi company. 33taw Jun 2019 #3

On your phone you can use a browser like chrome and open an incognito tab.

"Private browsing, privacy mode or incognito mode is a privacy feature in some web browsers to disable browsing history and the web cache. This allows a person to browse the Web without storing local data that could be retrieved at a later date."

So that will stop cookies, history and cached web data from being stored on your phone. But the service provider stores your activity.

Yes, they do keep track but when I asked about access to usage records for my employees I was told by my rep that they will only release those records with a court order.
