Would a pawn shop give me more money if I pawn my tablet instead of selling it to them?

I don't know much about how stuff like this works and I need as much as I can get. Anyone know much about how this works?

they're obviously there to make a profit, but they seem pretty reasonable.


in principle, a pawn shop will give you more cash if you pawn than if you sell, but then you start owing interest at a steep rate.

if you're done with the table and just want cash, i'd go with gazelle.com

selling to gazelle.com and later buying back something comparable might make sense.

pawn shops are scary, because the interest piles up fast and you're under pressure to get it back as soon as possible.

if you sell it, there's no great pressure beyond the fact that you're doing without a device that you're used to having.

in any event, gazelle.com can make it easy to see the difference between the selling price and the buy it back price....

Bear in mind that they want in-demand items and that most of us over-estimate the value of what we own.

Is your tablet an iPad? You may have more luck making a quick sale on Craigslist.

There is a pawn shop a block away from me. They advise they buy all kinds of electronics.
But if they will give me more by pawning it....
And I have to have a game plan before going in there.
