Ok, I think this is insane......our Robin is primping her nest for the 3rd time!!!!!!

She had four babies the first batch, three in her second batch and I saw her primping her nest this morning!!!! is that normal?? We’ve had her nesting where she does for the last 15 years or so.....or some robin has been using this site for that long, and I swear I have NEVER noticed her sitting for three times. Yikes..... and all babies so far have made it out into the world.

Interesting... Just followed a friend's Facebook story of a robin's nest that appeared on his deck. He mounted an IP camera to document the eggs hatching until fledgling. He wondered whether to discard the nest.

every year, then read or heard that it takes a lot of energy to rebuild it year after year. So I’m not going to destroy it this year. She seems to make the necessary adjustments to the nest to reuse it, so I am not going to knock it down this year.
