kids didn’t go back to school until after Labor Day, but now it seems like they all go back to school midway through August, which makes summer feel even shorter.

Seasonal affective disorder treatment: Choosing a light therapy box
Light therapy boxes can offer an effective treatment for seasonal affective disorder. Features such as light intensity, safety, cost and style are important considerations.

By Mayo Clinic Staff
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that typically occurs each year during fall and winter. Use of a light therapy box can offer relief. But for some people, light therapy may be more effective when combined with another SAD treatment, such as an antidepressant or psychological counseling (psychotherapy).

Light therapy boxes for SAD treatment are also known as light boxes, bright light therapy boxes and phototherapy boxes. All light therapy boxes for SAD treatment are designed do the same thing, but one may work better for you than another.

I hate the heat and July is usually the hottest month in New England. I love the fall in this region! I love the cooler temps and the air tends to be drier and crisper. Not as much rain as the spring and I love the smell of fallen leaves. It's such a beautiful time of year!

I feel the exact same way you do. July is my favorite month because of Independence Day. Also, I'm a fan of cycling and the Tour de France goes on for most of the month of July.

As you said, August is too close to September, and I hate the Fall. I also hate winter.

It would help, however, if I had just one red tomato. Lotsa' greenies on my 30 tomato plants, but not a single red one.
