to bring my tears to the spot where the spill out at the slightest suggestion. fortunately they are more tears of joy than sorrow, and honestly i have sorta missed them.

this is just perfect thing to let a few of them out.

this is why i love this place.

It was sometime in the late 70s or 80s. I had been given a 16 mm projector as a gift. So, I started to take out full length films to show to myself and friends on a screen that I had purchased. The library in downtown Chicago had a lot of 16mm full length films which a member could take out for no cost. The reels were very heavy, but once you got these reels home, you threaded the projector, turned it on, and showed a movie. (Remember: no video tapes, discs, streaming videos or any of that) You could watch a movie on the TV, if you knew when it was coming on, these reels were the 70s & 80s version of discs)

...Anyway, I took out a movie from the downtown library that I had heard of but never seen. "It's a Wonderful Life." I got the reels and set it up. Over 2 hours, so 4 heavy reels. I watched the film and cried at the end of the movie. Those were "Tears of Joy" and I had never experienced them before in my entire life...yes I had cried often when I was sad or hurt, never "Tears of Joy" Now, I know I was over 30 at the time I showed this, and that was an experience I won't forget. One more thought, those "Tears of Joy" were indeed a wonderful, happy experience.
