I just finished all six seasons of "Numbers" on Hulu and now can't seem to settle on my next binge watch...any recommendations please.

(17,557 posts)DEADWOOD - Some have listed this series as one of the top 3 shows EVER - and I'll not argue. Brilliant writing and amazing acting by superior people, and, coincidentally, Timothy Olyphant is one of them.
To be honest, I "got into them" as I am working my way towards dropping cable and I've got Amazon Prime - and that's where I found these. Things ain't lookin' good for cable!!!

Codeine
(25,586 posts)Give those a hard pass.
Battlestar Galactica is amazing until the last episode, which is absolute explosive diarrhea levels of shitty. Seriously, fuck those people for that ending.
Firefly is pure perfection, and you get a bonus feature film at the end!

(3,466 posts)also loved The Sopranos, Goliath, Mrs Maisel, and The Expanse.
The Americans and The Expanse (Season 4 coming soon to Prime)

(18,692 posts)The Shield grabs you and doesn't let go until the end of the finale. Incredible series.
Justified is exceptional, too. Walt Goggins plays a major role in both this series and The Shield.
Longmire moves a bit slower than the other two, but is pretty engrossing.
La Femme Nikita (the first series with Peta Wilson) is a very well-done, paranoia-inducing series.

(63,221 posts)I just love the period setting and there are some great British actors in the series. Most of the complaints are that the films aren't true to the literature, but if you haven't read Christie's work, you probably won't have an issue with the video series.
Tommy_Carcetti
(44,498 posts)Only saw the last episode as it originally aired. Eventually decided to watch the whole series and after a while I just got a rush every night looking forward to watching another episode.
Other wins....The Last Kingdom, Ozark (thus far), When They See Us, Bloodline, The IT Crowd, Big Mouth.
Four out of five seasons of The Wire I watched on a binge, so I suppose that counts as well.

(905 posts)Seasons 1-7. Its been quite a summer. Brutal at first and then awesome. It helps to print out a map.

(25,410 posts)Justified has a great cast of character actors, with clever meaty scripts that let them go to work.
Bosch is a police procedural based on Michael Connelly's books. Great cast and interesting scripts.
I also enjoyed the Marvel Comic adaptations on Netflix (Daredevil, Luke Cage, The Punisher,). But i understand that they have been "canceled".

(8,185 posts)Fleabag, Offspring, Breaking Bad, Last Tango in Halifax, Rectify, Russian Doll, Grace and Frankie, Detectorists, Luther, After Life, Our Planet, The Fall, Happy Valley, River, Rake
Those are mostly Netflix, I have more on Amazon..lol
I consider binge whenever I can watch a whole season, not necessarily the whole series
emmaverybo
(8,148 posts)of Fleabag went too fast for me. But the others so stand out. Quite something too to go from the role actor plays in Happy Valley to that in Grantchester, which I will catch up on one of these days.
