Aren't plants life? Don't they breathe and reproduce? Don't they grow and reach for the sun? Why do vegans think it is ok to devour one life form but not another?

If pressed to explain the difference between a spinach leaf and a cow, I, um, might find it difficult to explain it to someone who doesn't get it already.
