Goose smashes through taxi window (in Radford, UK)

Police in Radford said a taxi driver got a major surprise when a goose smashed through a window and landed in the back of their cab.

They joked the bird, which was subsequently checked by a vet, may have been trying to get to Nottingham's Goose Fair.

Why is it called Goose Fair?
The name probably came from the hundreds of geese which were driven from Lincolnshire to be sold in Nottingham. A fat roast goose was a traditional Michaelmas treat. The fair was originally held in September on St Matthew's Day, but moved to early October in 1752. did the goose have the exact fare ? you mean you have those over thar? hem

Obviously had to be somewhere in a hurry!

When I lived in CA, I had a wild turkey smash the front window of my truck, coming down Hwy 180 out of the mountains. The guy behind me pulled over too, and asked if I wanted it? No. He threw it in the back of his truck full of kids, and took off.
