Refilled the swear jar this morning

I keep a cup with change at work so I can feed vending machines, meters, etc.

Refilled it this morning.

Put a $20 and a $5 in.

So now I can say fuck Trump a whole lot.

Mom: Every time you use a swear word it will cost you a nickel.
Me: (handing her a 5 dollar bill) Can I pay in advance?

I saved all the change I found in pockets while doing laundry to go for ice cream - Finders keepers; losers heapers, or something like that!

(wink)

Change has become a pain. We throw all of our change into a basket. Every few months, we'll roll it up while watching TV then deposit it at our bank; they are happy to take rolled coins and will provide rolls for us to use.

Coins take up so much space, they're heavy and I don't like to carry change around with me. I hate to lose money, though and it always surprises me when we total up the value of the coins.

It’s turned into my emergency fund and it’s painless.
