I did my good deed for the day today. Had to think twice, because it was for a Republican!

Out walking the dog this morning on our first walk about 7 am. Came up on a sidewalk trash bin--the kind with a top to hold cigarette butts--and sitting up there was a driver's license! What? Somebody must have picked it up off the sidewalk--or from the curb on the street--and put it there. I put it in my pocket and brought it home. No glasses with me so I couldn't see if it was expired.

The license belonged to a young woman and it was not expired. I tried looking up her name on social media to see if I could find an e-mail or phone number. No luck. But guess what came up? Registered Republican. Gack! I was really tempted to throw it away,

but I got an envelope, wrote a note where I'd found it, and mailed it back to the address on the license.

I wonder if she even knows she lost it. I wonder if it will be delivered to her before she realizes it is gone and has to get a new one. Oh, well.
