I abandoned the one I set up a few years back. Still trying to figure out how to download everything before closing it out entirely. It occurred to me that the only people who were visiting it were people who were taking advantage of all the research I put together, since I had all the documents available for people to download. My hope was that someone with integrity would finally contact me and confirm all my conclusions about the corruption that took place in the City in the nineties, but no such luck.

My next endeavor will be a story about an American girl who was raised in another country and how she would spend her summers at her Aunt's ranch, where her favorite pastime was sitting on a huge boulder by the river where she would wile the time thinking about the things she was missing by not growing up in America. Ha. Thinking about alternating the chapters, flipping between the things I discovered once I arrived, and the woman's story - or how I made sense of it all by compartmentalizing the disappointment and focusing on the positive aspects of American life.

as you say, site is abandoned. I'm sorry to hear about people taking advantage of your hard work/research, I'm not surprised. It's been one of the banes of the internet that folks feel like they don't owe anything for one's hard work, songs/music they write, books, etc.

Sounds interesting, your possible story about an American girl, experiences she has w/ family, growing up in American. As a born American, I'd be really interested in your story, as an arrival to America, and your hopes and dreams vs. the disappointments.

With the arrival of the rump (trump) idiots, immigrants have more fear than what I have seen over the last 40 years. It's disgusting as immigrants have made this Country what it is today. I grew up w/ many friends and 1st first serious friend was from Peru. A wonderful experience which I'll cherish all my life.

Take care and thanks for getting back to me!

Annoying about the fireplaces at 68 degrees.

Fireplaces are going gangbusters tonight. It's 55 degrees right now. We closed our fireplace off as soon as we moved to this house 30 years ago. They're havens for critters and we don't need a fireplace!
