Police said the golf cart was stolen from a University of Miami hospital.
The woman was eventually taken into custody under Floridas Baker Act, the news station reported.
It's really hard to tell if this is unusual on Florida highways. Now that winter has arrived, all the snowbirds have moved South and drive slow in the left lane anyway. If you are over 70 it's mandatory to have a golf cart or they won't let you vote (at least that's the rumor).

(10,105 posts)This poor woman was obviously trying to commit suicide weaving in and out of traffic on I-95. During normal rush hour she would have been run over a dozen times, and not one of the vehicles would have stopped. Good thing they Baker Acted her.

Totally Tunsie
(10,885 posts)and saw this being done almost every day! It was a first for me, but apparently isn't the least bit unusual down there. In fact, one mom was dropping three kids off at school, none of which was belted in in any way...one had been hanging off the back quite comfortably! The topper, though, was seeing the carts on the highways as in the video.
Up north, this would be a dream scenario for a trooper with a quota deficiency.
