In May 2014, the dog Mary fostered three kittens that were dropped off at the Pickens County Animal Shelter in Jasper, Georgia without a mother. The Assistant Director at the time, Judy Moody allowed us to video this moment with a cell phone.

Soon after the video, the cats were placed with a foster cat and the puppies were taken to Pickens Animal Rescue until they were all adopted.

What a sweet mama!

1. OhMyGosh, what a sweet, sweet momma.

Some dogs are just natural angels.

I think my big girl would adopt kittens if she had puppies. She loves most all critters and seems to be a natural caretaker who nudges and licks the rude old boy we adopted. He never returns her affection.

Had kittens. The former touch-me-not suddenly couldn't wait to show her babies to everyone, wanted the babies to be picked up and admired, wanted to be complimented on the good job she'd done, wanted to receive pets...those maternal hormones work wonders!
