I got my 1st Senior Citizen Scam Call. Yeah me👵

Scam Call Today #1-214-366-6900. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
And they can go whiz up a tree.
The call was from "Drug Enforcement" --- buying ibuprofen triggers a call?

A male Midwestern sounding recorded voice told me, "this was the last attempt to reach me, your Social Security number was going to be suspended."

Googling the # got me to pages saying this is a scam.

I just don’t answer them any more, but they still keep trying, like 5 to 7 times a day.

And another one left a message (in a robotic female voice) indicating “your social security account has been suspended for fraudulent activity”. No names or account numbers were ever mentioned. We were instructed to call back immediately. Yep. I’m right on it.

Then today when we returned from running errands we arrived home to find one of the callers (according to caller ID) was me and I called from my home number. Huh??

We never answer calls from numbers we don’t know. We figure if it is a legitimate caller, they will leave a number and a good reason to call them back. Not some bogus scam.

Maybe when the Medicare supplemental insurance enrollment time is over some of this will stop or maybe slow down. But the scammer calls will continue. Nobody seems to have found an effective way to stop them. We were blocking calls but discovered recently that our blocked call registry (from our phone provider) is full. 25 numbers is all it will let us register. I need to look for a phone that will allow us to block more than 25 numbers!
