and the pup NEEDS TO "GO!"
At least the wind isn't blowing...

(9,426 posts)change his mind once you open the door. Or at least make it a quick trip. Stay cozy inside if you can. I am dreading this coming winter, especially lots of snow. Sounds as though you have enough to last for a long time!

Every winter I come to the realization that the MOST important room in any home is a MUD ROOM (alcove, or something). Now, I have dripping clothes and boots all over the front entrance way.
But, you know what? That big golf umbrella someone gave me finally proved useful since the wind isn't too bad.

(9,426 posts)she enjoys the snow. I have had a couple of dogs who loved to have shovelfuls of snow thrown at them. As I shoveled, they ran in front of me, back and forth wanting me to throw snow at them. Fun times. My cats would back away from the door if I opened it, and they saw snow. Glad to hear that your dog is enjoying this.

(8,445 posts)It wasn't much fun to have to mop up after him when he came in.
It'd be way below freezing and I'd wonder where the old guy was, and I'd look out in the back yard and he'd be stretched out on the snow sleeping, like it as a lazy summer day. He was a chow/shepherd mix (maybe a bit of wolf), so he had that super thick coat.

(102,225 posts)If you were already in the mountains at a ski resort, you'd be in "hog heaven." The problem now is few will be able to get there for quite a while.

(8,445 posts)I don't think we're going to get too much down here in Pueblo. I was in Highlands Ranch last night and thought I'd get stuck up there until this afternoon, but decided to take a chance and drive home. It wasn't too bad, but took an hour longer than usual because, but not because of the weather.
Anyway, I'd help you shovel if I was up there.

(102,225 posts)and how the snow wouldn't affect them. And then, after the first really big, longlasting and continuing snowstorm, they came to realize they weren't going to see a crew until it stopped--and then usually not for more than 24 hours afterward. LOL. I lent them a snow shovel.
It's funny how they think they'll have a magical crew show up and make them the priority when they have an HOA.
I actually enjoy shoveling. I always think of the extra calories I'll get to consume later because of what I'm burning off.

(102,225 posts)My poor pup (Aussie/Border Collie) was up to her nose in it with nowhere for the "elimination" to go. I had to dig out an area for her.
BTW, I'll be sharing that graphic. LOL
