(11,330 posts)to get into a roundabout and just keep making the circle 5-10-20 times....just to see how it feels

(23,307 posts)My first time on a roundabout was in New Zealand. I rented a car in Queenstown at the airport...when I got to the heart of the city, I realized they used roundabouts more than traffic lights. Yikes! I was so nervous driving on the left side of the road anyway then had to hit the roundabout from the left as well. It was nuts. I remember saying Im so scared! as I went around the first one...My then 8 year old kiddo was in the back seat...yelling you can do it mama!

(86,536 posts)it meets the Hwy because there's a big hotel going up across the Hwy. It's a really busy interchange and I don't see how one will fit in the area where it needs to be. Glad there's an alternate route closer to town where I can get out. That may end up becoming my usual route.
These are the new thing in the cities in my state, in some places they work, others should have had a second opinion.

(86,536 posts)they are all over the place. I grew up there and I recall them since early childhood. It was a practical way to connect multiple carriage trails that would come in from everywhere, more than two or three in a place.
And you ain't seen nothin' till you've dealt with a jug handle!
