eating tinsel can kill your cat. It can cause intestinal obstruction and/or it can slice up a cat's intestine if it is swallowed just so. I never use tinsel and nobody else should either if they live with cats. Sorry!

My brother's cat ate thread from spools of thread. His wife had to put everything away after she sewed. Kitty needed very expensive surgery.

They did not think about tinsel. They had to do the surgery all over to get rid of tinsel.
