But you likely knew that but saw the play on words.
I had one, god forbid a house fly got in. This cat would chase and chase it for hours. Tear up the drapes and window and door screens until he got the fly and killed it.
They were special bred to go on the sailing ships to Europe to keep the rats and mice at bay so they did not get to the ship stores (sailors food supply) and the grain being shipped.
