One of mine often sits in a corner, staring at the junction of the two walls--or perhaps just the air between herself and the walls. Cats are superb examples of "being in the moment," so perhaps this is feline zen?

I, for one, am not above believing that may well be true. Furthermore, I believe that many, if not most, "old wives' tales" probably have some truth at their core--including stories about cats seeing spirits and being atuned to influences we can't perceive. I wish our feline friends could tell us all about it....

My cat can't even make it to the top of the counters. Had her since she was a kit and she's only done it a couple of times, and that's when she jumped up on a chair first.
