We see what we choose to see first - What do you "see" in the below picture

Do you see the intensity of the hawk's eyes?
Do you see the power in the hawk's wings over the water?
Do you see the blue band on its leg?
Do you see the fish in its talons?

What you focus in when you first see an image, tells a bit about you as a person.

"...the filtering mechanisms that allow us to focus our attention on stimuli of interest — that let us tune out the music in a room to listen to a nearby conversation, or disregard greens, blues and yellows in a crowd when searching for a friend wearing red. That kind of processing, which involves the suppression of some sensory data to highlight signals that are more relevant, is directed by a goal."

but when I read down and went back up to take another look, I noticed the wings and then the eyes. I didn't notice the blue band until I looked for it.

Next was the water, and so I was unsurprised to see the fish.

Next was the blue band, and now I know it’s trained, but for what?

And so, back to bird if prey pointed straight at me...lol.

Fish second and then the white on its wings. I never even noticed the blue band until I read the OP.
