I knew a guy who had so many facelifts that he had what looked like a bullet hole in the middle of his forehead (it was his navel). Even worse, he couldn't go out in public without wearing a turtleneck sweater.

I haven't had it that long, maybe 2 months now. It's supposed to be a 30 day supply assuming you apply it once a day. I've only used it a few times when I've gone out. So far it hasn't dried out.

Sounds as though you got in a different packaging than the people who complained about it drying out. Glad to know that it lasts longer than those people said. I'm getting to a point where I'm thinking about trying it.

The post is about a funny statement.

"I always look surprised when I see you"

Get it? The skin is pulled tight.

When I went to visit my mother, she never knew me--it was like meeting me for the first time. If I left the room and returned--she was surprised and delighted to see me, as if I hadn't been there five minutes before. It was the one bright aspect to this horrible disease--it was so easy to surprise and bring her joy.

My post is about a funny statement. The illness makes every meeting a delightful surprise, just like the raised eyebrows caused by the tightened skin. Get it?

because I took care of my mother for 12 years until she died age 90. The only way I kept my sanity was to find things to laugh about. Finding humor in a dreadful situation is not disrespectful; in my case it was the highest form of respect and love.

If you don't know anyone with Alzheimer's you are lucky and I hope you will remain so. It's just about the most horrible disease on earth.

You laugh to keep from crying, and crying doesn't do anyone any good. Laughing together was about the last real connection I had with my mother, and I treasure those times.
