The morality of "Star Wars..." (mild spoiler warning)

There is a bizarre meme in the Star Wars movies, how bad guys get totally redeemed and are accepted into "the good guys' afterlife" after only a couple good deeds.

Darth Vader saves his son and "kills" the Emperor and all the butchery, atrocities and genocide he did or was a part of, and he is forgiven.

In the latest, "Rise Of Skywalker," bad guy turns back to good, and follows in Vader's footsteps.
Despite having multiple murders, including his Father at his hands.

Doesn't really bother me, heck, I know it's just a story, but it should have been less simple for any "redemption."

The guy killed children! That is simply unforgivable.

The Star Wars saga was such a great idea that unfortunately got run off the rails several different times.

Ah, well. Everyone involved made a ton of money. So, all's good, (snark).
