Does anyone have a recommendation for a Personal Cloud Server?

I want to store my personal documents on a cloud server and I don't want to spend a fortune on it. And I don't want to use a piece of hardware, I jsut need a server where I can upload docuemnts.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a service that's not too expensive?

Many thanks. - FDL

And Google Drive. Both free. Just gotta be within the data limits, take tons of pictures haven’t hit the limit in...I think I started google maybe 4 years ago. No problems.

Both Dropbox and Google Drive offer free online storage. Think Microsoft OneDrive does also. Not sure how much space, wanna say 2GB is free. That's a lot of documents but if you have pics and videos, those take up a lot more space.

... using a Raspberry Pi and some usb drives.

Yes, it involves hardware, but it's very inexpensive hardware, and no fees to pay to a hosting service.

If you're looking for essentially a backup then I love Amazon Glacier. If it's stuff you'll be accessing regularly it's hard to beat Google for price and ease of use.
