Super Bowl victory celebrations

Chiefs won the super bowl and the parade is on Wednesday.

They've already cancelled most school districts in the area and many companies are already calling off work on Wednesday. Is this normal or just because we haven't won for so long? Or just because we are such a small city?

It's just amazing to me how involved everyone is. I mean, sure I like the Chiefs and all, but there's no way in heck I'm going downtown with my young kids to that mess. We'll happily watch on tv lol.

Driving to work (Mission from Leawood) and watching it on TV here at the office.

NO way I'm going downtown with the expected 1.2 million fans!

wants to go but has no intention of fighting those crowds and if the weather does not do what is expected will be working here in Topeka area anyway. My husband would love to go but we are not going to fight the weather and we would never get even close so no, we are not going. I cannot imagine it even being fun with so many people there. It will be on TV I am certain.

You can sit between the CEO of a large regional corporation, and a sanitation engineer.

And you can’t tell which one is which.

Congratulations Chiefs and Chiefs fans! I won’t be going to the parade.
