You scored more than double what I did (46%). In my defense, I did click on Bremen a couple of times, but it thought I was clicking in Lower Saxony. Even so, that's pretty bad. Consider me humbled.

Did you happen to see bobbieinok's question about the Free Democratic Party, in her thread about the Thuringia election?

I had been in the States for a month, and have been country-hopping on pretty much a daily basis for work. I had to get up at 4 AM yesterday (Friday) to be in Zürich and Basel and today, after I get done in Basel, will try to get home (Düsseldorf) since I have to be up at 4 again Monday (France) and again on Tuesday (Spain). A month's absence usually means punishment in the form of sleep deprivation.

It was all over the news here in Europe about the short-lived AfD coup in Thüringen. Everyone seems pretty sure Merkel kept a calm exterior while putting her foot down with quiet behind-the-scenes force.

I THINK we're all well! Kinda crazy around here. Turns out we will have a new granddaughter come June. Here's hoping granddaughter #1 doesn't get too jealous.

Lower Saxony, as well as Lower Bavaria, were originally determined by river flows, and not English-speaking cartographers. Charlie Mason and Jeremiah Dixon were not around when the Danube river flow was used to decide where upper and lower Bavaria were.

DFW excepted, but he lives there. I know where most of the major cities are but only because I once worked for an airline.

that he got West Virginia, but calls Virginia Mountain Mama.

(As a native West Virginian, I've been to Europe about ten times. Every time the subject comes up, Europeans know John Denver's Country Roads and know that West Virginia is a state. I wish Americans knew that we were a state and not just the western part of Virginia. No, I don't live anywhere near Richmond!)

Germany. She lives in "the fuck is going on here" and considers states by their shape. At one time she confused all rectangular states and called them "the square states" and called me once to tell me she wanted to come an visit me and bought a book about the national park near me so she would have an idea about the place... Yosemite NP. Except I live next to Yellowstone NP. We both had a good laugh about that. She still hasn't made it here to visit yet, doesn't like camping and I guess she thinks that's all we have for housing out here. It's pretty funny.
