All over Europe, well into Russia.
First cousin to our crow and just as smart, if not more so.

However, alittlelark may be right; it could be a magpie. They do look much alike.
Both are in the Corvidae family, so similar behavior and intelligence level.

There was a Ted Talk I once heard about the training of crows to pick up trash in parks!
Another fun fact, crows fly out of they city every evening and return in the morning.
