Red line on my TV screen?

There's one growing on my teevee screen. Started as a row of little dashes, then turned solid as length increased. Started at about two inches, it's now about seven inches. Not huge, about the size of thread. Anybody got any ideas about what this is?
TV brand is TCL/Roku, by the way.

3. Could be a connection issue with a cable or a T.A.B. error. I had the problem with a Sony several

years ago. Thanks to my extended warranty the TV was replaced.

You can google T.A.B. Error to see if it applies.

I did the google search and found info way beyond my tech understanding. Sadly, my tech vocabulary tends to stop at the edge of doohickey and thingie. I'll show it to a more tech-savvy friend and hope for the best. Meanwhile, the red line now extends the full width of the screen. Weird.

5. Are there any Nerf guns in the house?

Grandson ruined a TV like this by shooting one of those spongy Nerf bullets at the screen. Same symptoms you describe.
