Thank you for the heart- You don't know how much it means to me this year

Thank you for the heart whoever you are.
I really appreciate the thought.
It has been difficult to participate in DU lately because I had stroke in Aug. that has made it difficult to talk and write.
I was very fortunate that my wife noticed the symptoms and called 911 right away and although I live almost 100 miles to the hospital the wonderful paramedics got me to the hospital in record time where the neurologist and staff were able to remove the clot and fix me up.
I am getting better every day and I always look forward reading the posts on DU. It was the first place I went online after I got out of rehab and I think that reading all the posts and comments really helps exercise my brain.
I don't ever talk about my private life but seeing the heart in my inbox made me emotional.
If you see someone with stroke symptoms call 911 right away. It can make all the difference.
Thank you again.
And lets get rid of Trump in Nov.

long term partner was already in the hospital having a heart attack. So no one knew until the next day when she was outside acting funny and a neighbor called the paramedics.

The result was Aphasia; a horrible condition where she forgot every word she ever knew.

So I am so glad they were able to remove the blood clot and you are getting better. I think it is great that you linked to stroke symptoms.

I don't have anymore hearts left but here's a hug.

My son had stroke a little more than a year ago he was only 29 at the time. Like you said ”Time” means everything. We were on it pretty quickly the doctors also. Slow a little bit in the recovery it seemed like. But he's pretty much symptom free now.
