This is my first post. Well... actually I was here in 2004. My name then was Little Clarkie. Started with Gen. Clark and moved to Kerry when he won the nomination. Started off very meh, but was determined not to be just ABB. You have to campaign for someone, not against someone else, if you want to help the candidate.
So I read up on Kerry and ended up loving the guy. Was so very proud when he became Sec. of State.
I'm Kerrycrat now because 1. I can't remember my login info and 2. Kerry was the first campaign that I worked and 3. I still love the old guy.
I worked Obama's campaign too, even learning to create phone bank lists. I loved that campaign, both times. I felt so valued and appreciated.
I was meh on Hillary, but never did with her what I did with Kerry. I was complacent. I couldn't imagine Trump winning. I'm rather ashamed of that now.
So here I am, four years later. A Pete person, I signed up for tests and emails. I bought a t-shirt, but to tell the truth I thought of it as a souvenir.
Until Iowa. Woot!
I guess that's why I signed back up. I'm determined to be properly involved this time, even if it turns out not to be Pete. Voting blue no matter who!
Howdy!

(66,363 posts)I met Senator Kerry when he was campaigning for Barack Obama.
I was very impressed. All the good things said about him were justified, and all the bad things said about him were nonsense.
