Home from the hospital! Yay!

Released yesterday around 2pm. Surgery went well- 2 incarcerated hernias repaired, a 3rd hernia is small and located in an area where the surgeons don't think it's going to cause any trouble, so they left it alone. Incision is center of tummy and about 7 inches long. I think it will go rather nicely with the rest of the collection. Still have some swelling especially tummy, face, arms... But nothing out of the ordinary.

Hospital staff was wonderful! I lucked out getting a private room because when I first came out of surgery, my surgeon wanted me in isolation. The hospital is packed like a can a sardines, it meant 3 extra hours in recovery waiting for the room, but that was fine, but after 24 hrs I was taken off isolation, but no other rooms were available, so I got to stay in the private room. Woohoo!

The kitties and sisters are very happy to have me home. Cats did their normal aloof act for the first half hour while I got settled, but have been by my side since. So cute, they look like two chariot cats in front of my walker.

Thanks so much for all the good wishes, calming voices and beautiful hearts. You DU folks are Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

and that you got a private room....well that’s just the icing, isn’t it.
I don’t know why we haven’t evolved to having zippers yet.
Hope you have a full and speedy recovery, MerryBlooms.

I checked in at 8am and was picked up at 3pm.
The first time in my 69 years I've ever been anesthetized.
Very weird when you come out of it.
No heavy lifting for 6 weeks!
