Two different strong leading lady t.v. series. Both worth looking into.

A true blue New Yorker, Abigail "Tommy" Thomas uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland. Briarpatch with Rosario Dawson USA Thursday at 10:00 first episode began on Feb 6. - Based on the Ross Thomas novel of the same name, "Briarpatch" follows Allegra Dill, a dogged investigator who returns to her border-town home in San Bonifacio, Texas. Edie Falco is terrific and "Homicide: Life on the Street" was one of the best police dramas ever broadcast! I cannot wait to see this! Thanks for the info!

It's the nod to the pulp fiction genre that won me over.

glad you recommended them, had not heard of either. While I love me some Edie Falco, Tommy is turning out a bit formulaic and predictable, not sure how long I’ll stick to it.

Briarpatch is awesome, tho, for a non premium channel! I’m digging that one entirely. Thanks!!

I have been excited waiting for Tommy. I love Edie Falco and she looks in the ads to be perfect for the part. I forgot about it, will get it now!

I have not heard about Briarpatch. I love Rosario Dawson and have not heard about her show. I will look that one up and put it on my list. Thank you. I love female leads on shows.

I like Edie Falco. I hardly watch regular channels anymore so I wasn't aware of either of these shows, so thank you for this.
