I bought some lovely stationery on Etsy and the woman who has the Etsy shop also sent a note about Jesus filled with quotes from scripture. I thought it was kind of inappropriate.

(38,187 posts)If I wanted to be preached to, I would go to church. If I buy a product, I wanted the product, not to be preached to. I can't stand that stuff. I have had them try that with me too. I can find the same product elsewhere, usually, or get something different.

(102,224 posts)There is nothing about the actual tenets of Christ (as opposed to the RW fundy attempts to "recreate" his message) that I find problematic. Pretty consistent with secular views of "right and wrong" and equality.
So, unless they were preaching some bastardized version or some politicized RW version--or demanding something of or from me, I'd just let it roll off of me. How hard is it to discard it with the rest of the packaging?
