Oh well. I still stand by what I typed. I love this place.

(13,485 posts)I actually like your comment. DU is a diverse work place as well as a playground at times. I'm usually one of the more serious ones on here but sometimes it gets so thick and serious we just need a break. It's healthy to laugh at one's self occasionally and you just happend into one of those moments. The news is heavy with political disagreement, violence and virus talk which are issues we have to grapple with. But a timeout once in a while refreshes the spirit so we can take another crack at serious business at hand.
Be well. D7

(13,485 posts)Oh, I meant to say yer originating from the Old English danelagh period meaning a small footed grouse like creature that has since been extinct from over hunting due to humorless hunters who lost their way in a world that can't see the forest for the cliché. Shall I repeat that in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics for clarification?

Just before dawn
And knock the little jockeys
Off the rich peoples lawns
And before they get up
I'll be gone.
