(15,805 posts)Especially if that cow is trying to feed herself by grazing. Hopefully the owner will bring her to a barn where she can be fed enough to keep her milk up. Even so, those calves will still need to be supplemented with bottles because even the best producing dairy cow (and that cow is a beef breed) can't give enough milk to feed two calves let alone all four. If the cow can't be transported then all the calves could be separated and hand raised to save them from starving.

(55,007 posts)lots of people keep a dairy cow to raise cheap "bottle calves" or just for the random orphans that seem to always happen with a big herd.
but you are right, a beef cow barely produces enough for a single, twins are rough on a cow most people don't like to see them. quads! wow!
