I prefer to be clean shaven. It feels better and it's cleaner.

To each their own.

By the way, I'm a man.

A well groomed beard or goatee can be very attractive, but I hate the 3 day stubble and when they let it grow way down on their neck. How David Letterman's wife puts up with this I'll never know.

And kissing that face is awful! My husband doesn't shave every day now that he's retired, and I think he looks like a 112 year old wino when he goes more than a couple of days. Needless to say, the smooches are less frequent.

think men would want to wear facial hair right now--at least if COVID-19 continues spreading... To much facial "space" for nasty viral droplets to land and remain-- not to mention temptation for stroking/touching.

don't have enough whiskers and don't even bother trying. They can go without shaving for a couple of days before you would notice. My son-in-law has a beard that looks like shredded wheat. I hate it.

I would have thought with the same set of parents, all 3 boys would be equally hairy.

in a matter of days. My dad hardly had any whiskers at all. I guess those are the genes they wound up with.

Transgendered ,they. I got a goatee
It's about 2 1/2 inches long red with dual points.
I have been growing it for over 5 years. The rest of my face is smooth.
I will be really bummed if I have to shave it off. It took over five years to grow it, I love it and it will be missed terribly.

I agree that it doesn’t look good when it has gray in it. It just looks unkempt, messy. But on younger men it looks good if it isn’t too much. A two or three day growth is enough.

Those other guys copied me.

But my motives were pretty basic. The rashes I get from shaving look worse than a scruffy beard.

My pattern used to be this:

Shave. Interview for job. Get job. Continue shaving until someone says, "OMG! What happened to your face!"

It's probably related to this:

When my wife says I'm looking too much like Grizzly Adams I set the buzz cutter anywhere from three to seven and trim it back.

Tried on a couple of occasions and the best I could generate was a George Michael.

Of course, it does have it's benefits. My chest is hairless.

My brother in-law looks like a Brillo Pad when he takes his shirt off.
