3. A friend of mine's son is a resident in a red state. He wasn't able to obtain testing,

even though he has all the symptoms, and is negative for flu and whatever else they rule out.

So he's staying home and caring for himself, and there's one less case his Republican governor and Republican President need to admit too.

It's infuriating.

5. The apparent strategy to hide the spread of this thing will work only so long.

When enough people are infected the ERs and ICUs will be overwhelmed with severe cases and the deaths will begin.

At that point, all of the missing data for the milder cases will skew the CFR up to Italy’s horrifying 6.7% rate. Or higher.

Trump’s CDC can hide the non critical cases. They will not be able to hide the serious ones. And there will be a lot more serious ones than there might otherwise have been due to what is basically uncontrolled spread right now.
