Add All Purpose Flour to the list of items that are hard to find in the store.

So I made a banana bread yesterday with self-rising flour. Looked beautiful! Then I put it on the counter to rest and it fell like a souffle.

It was really good without being as sweet as many recipes. I don't know how well it would work with self rising flour, however.

I need to compare measurements for bananas. The bananas were perfectly aged and I probably didn't make my situation better by adding half of another banana. But the recipe was not in cups. It said, three bananas.

and as such, they sometimes seem out-of-step with American shopping habits, as in the lack of self-rising flour I mentioned (no sugar-free ice cream is another). The problems are minor, however, and it’s our go-to store for most of our pantry staples.
