Our beloved goldie was afraid of the wood floors in the house. He'd sometimes forget tho, until he was in the middle of the room, then he'd looked down, become paralytic, and cry for help.
Only way to get him off was bring in a scatter rug which he would then stand on, and I'd drag him the 3 feet back to safety.
