Cheesy QuaranTuna Surprise!

One box Velveeta Shells n Cheese

3/4 cup frozen peas

2 cans tuna in water

One large tablespoon sized dollop of sour cream

Start the water boiling with the peas. (Don’t add salt, this is salty enough...)

Open the tuna cans and drain the tuna water into the boiling peas, (adds flavor without adding salt)

Add the pasta.

When pasta is done, drain the water, add the cheese sauce, tuna, and sour cream.

Add pepper to taste. Mix well, enjoy!

We have quite a bit of tuna in the garage pantry, it's the only seafood my lady will eat. I was thinking that we would hit it last, but to maintain variety, maybe I should start getting tuna into the routine. Again, for the sake of variety, I need every recipe I can get that uses ingredients we have on hand.

can slip a little tuna into the menu without it being overly “fishy” for those that aren’t fans. It’s super easy, and fast, and tasty - and the peas and tuna both add lots of good nutrition.
