Saw her on the teevee a few times. And many years later, as an anthropology student, I learned a great deal about her and her studies, many of which set milestones in the field.

Marianne McPartland of cultural anthropology of her time. During the time that she was active, up to the late 1970s, she was bringing voice to equality and social wrongs.

Worth looking up.

I dropped out of my dream of anthropology when i realized i didn't have the science background to specialize in the area i wanted to. Plus i skipped a test to go home to highschool graduation in the fall and my professir told me i had to write an essay or get an F on the test. I chose the F as i was kind of locked down intellectually at the time.
