I've lost 11 pounds. good bad or indifferent, I am down to where I was when I was 26 but I'm 55...
I went into, what I like to call "siege" mode when everything hit the fan. Eat less, exercise (at home) more and prepared for the worst. I went into this mode when I was very very poor production assistant in L.A. many many years ago. got me through really hard times.
I suspect I'll lose about another 5 before I finally level off.
good times.

(26,241 posts)This is my typical reaction to stress. I was finally getting back to normal after all of the family and work related trauma, so this feels very discouraging. I have no idea how much weight I've lost because I don't own a scale, but I can tell by how my clothes aren't fitting, that I'm sliding down in size.
I finally fell asleep at 4:30, this morning, and was back up at 7.
I'm not even getting any relief from the Indica THC tincture so the lack of sleep and calories are making it difficult to be very active.
On the bright side, though, at least I don't have to make an Easter feast, this weekend.

(115,573 posts)because I'm not going out to shop for groceries, meaning I won't be tempted by the sights and smells of baked goods and other things I shouldn't be eating. And because the food I do have in stock is boring and I don't like my own cooking I'm hardly eating at all. I've lost about 20 lbs., about half of it while under siege.

(42,514 posts)I do pretty well at home, but its hard to resist treats that are sitting out on a table yelling at me. Im curious to see if this time at home works in my favor.

(22,214 posts)I have been Lifetime in Weight Watchers since 2007 (lost 65 pounds)
My goal weight is 140 so meetings are free if I stay 2 pounds under goal. The Plan changed about 18 months ago and I dropped almost 8 pounds, despite eating out with friends, with wine and other fine additions.
For reasons I do not understand, now that we are confined by edict rather than choice, I want to eat all sorts of things that I would not bother with under normal circumstances. It is like when we got snowed in when I was living with my parents - we made all sorts of goodies to pass the time and enjoy
Now my basic lifestyle has not really changed a great deal, except for not eating out. My basic activity level is unchanged. I am just hungrier and crave foods that get in the way of maintaining my weight.
It has been a battle royal with myself to not bake cookies, cake or even pie. I often say that I bake so I don't hit people.

(63,221 posts)I eat maybe one meal a day, and not a very big one at that. Sometimes I don't even finish it.
At work, I am usually starving by around 11:30am, but I rarely get hungry when I'm not working until around dinner time. And then I get full pretty quickly. I don't have a scale, but I'm definitely losing weight.
