1. We rarely eat at a restaurant.

By rarely I mean a couple of times a year. We’re both good cooks and hate paying for something we can make at home for less money and specific to our taste.

For the last month all I’ve wanted to do is eat out. I peruse online menus of local restaurants and dream of what I’ll order. I will be first in line to support local restaurants when they reopen and I’ll never be a food snob again ☺️

2. It's sad to think how many restaurants will never return.

I live in New Orleans, which is very much a foodie culture. There have already been many announcements of restaurants that say they are closing for good. I think these are primarily newer ones who have opened in the last 10-15 years, post-Katrina.

4. When the restaurants re-open, it'll still be a while before I eat out.

I certainly won't go based on federal recommendation. Maybe after there are proven cures and vaccines available.
