Mom is coronavirus-positive

I'm trying not to freak out.

The report is that she's having a pretty good day (so far)--the same as yesterday. Breathing ok (with oxygen treatment), responsive, and eating a little.

One hour, one minute at a time, I guess.

give her lots of vitamins A & D, and some form of elderberry (comes in syrup, tablets, and effervescent tablets). It works for me, and I am 76.

I'm sure they're doing all they can for her.

Sounds good, but don't get complacent, these things can change quickly. Hopefully the only change your mom sees is positive.

We were sure that we were going to lose her... she was struggling to breathe.

She rebounded a bit yesterday, and today she is much the same.

The activities director at the nursing home schedules face-time once a week for the residents, but we will get to see and speak w/ her again on Tuesday.

Sounds like she's been having a rough time all the way around. May she be comfortable and not frightened. My mom's anniversary is approaching, it's still hard.

I will speak only of the good. My Sister-in-law recovered completely, and will be joining us by Zoom for Easter dinner.

May your mother recover as fully as my Sister-in-law did.

And you are right. One hour at a time, one minute at a time, just do what you can do. And definitely allow yourself time to just sit and fall apart if you need to. It helps to get that out. I've had a lot of experience.

We are all here for you.
